Broken up into a trilogy, the Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug continues the adventure of Bilbo Baggins and the company of dwarves looking to reclaim their homeland from the dragon Smaug. This film follows the company through Mirkwood forest, Laketown, and finally to the Lonely Mountain itself. The last movie seemed fairly polarizing, with many people hating the additional content that was added to fill three movies, but I personally loved it and am happily looking forward to the next movie in this trilogy. Plus, Ned the Piemaker (also known as Lee Pace who plays Thranduil) has a much larger role than in the first film!

My most memorable adventure is going hiking after a major storm. I dared to hike where there were areas that was closed off, just out of curiousity. WHere there was a possibility of mudslides. And also I went rockclimbing off a fall for the first time. And off the beaten path, where I found snake holes EVERYWHERE and was eaten up by mosquitoes. THe next day it looked like I had chicken pox. THE WORSE!!!!
ReplyDeleteMost memorable adventure for me was winning a travel scholarship from my university to travel anywhere in the world to experience a culture outside of the U.S. I choose to go to Australia and New Zealand (and saw where they filmed "Lord of the Ring"). It was a life-changing experience.

ReplyDeleteMy most memorable adventure was actually New Zealand, although i didnt get to see any of the Hobbit, LOTR filming locations. Amazing cliff diving, wouldn't trade it for anything in the world
ReplyDeleteMy most memorable trip was travelling with 13 of my closet girlfriends to Kingston Jamaica for 1 week to stay with some of our friends, visit Bob Marley's camp and party at all the dances. We winded up getting caught up in the work stoppage, protests and street blockage demonstrations. Then we took the long drive down to Negril, JA for another week to further unwind and di-stress from the Kingston, JA visit. But all in all we had a ball during the entire trip. We partied during Independence, ate good food, relaxed on the beaches, went to the mineral falls, fern gully, meet good friends, spent time with our existing friends and mellowed out. All this while being securely guarded like the queens and princesses were are. Wouldn't have changed one minute of that experience. Via la Jamacia. Lol

ReplyDeleteMy most memorable adventure was a ride on the death star, a ride at an amusement park which lifted a group of people up slowly 300 feet into the air and dropped all of us quickly to just a few feet from the ground.
ReplyDeleteWalking through a beach covered in tall grass in Belize and watching my father being attacked by a pelican as I ran. It got him in the nuts. Definitely memorable.
ReplyDeleteI went to Puerto Rico this past summer. I wouldn't say anything "exciting" happened, but it was a magical and relaxing trip. Helped me see the world in different ways. You know, I'd say just about all my travels, in the country and out have been great adventures
