Alakazam! We've made screening passes for the new summer movie "Now You See Me," starring Morgan Freeman, Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, and Michael Caine appear! The screening takes place on May 14, 2013 at 7:00 PM.
We will be selecting winners this weekend. To qualify, you MUST be a fan of Watch or Pass on Facebook, so if you haven't "liked" us yet, please go there and do so now. After that, please leave a comment with your name, email address, and a description of your favorite magic trick you've ever seen. If you don't feel comfortable leaving your email address, please leave a comment with everything except your email address and send us a note at watchorpass@gmail.com with your contact info. Please double check your address. If the email address doesn't work we'll move on to another person. Winners will be emailed on Sunday, May 12th.
And now, my favorite magic trick. We were at a close up magic show in Los Angeles. The magician hid a yellow fuzz ball under one of three cups. After moving them around for a while, he had us lift the cups and a baby chick was under each one!
Just testing

my favorite magic trick was the one at the end of "The Prestige" (when Hugh Jackman does the disappearing man)--even though that might not count
That was a good trick. I'll allow it!
ReplyDeleteCrazy! Sounds like an awesome trick.

It was more of a street performer gag, but this Japanese guy managed to fill this girl's bag with nothing but tennis balls somehow...I still don't know how he did it... (She only had one tennis ball!)

My favorite Magic Trick was when Penn & Teller did a bullet catching illusion. Where each simultaneously caught a bullet shot by the other. A line was drawn down the center of the stage to show that neither will cross to the other side. It was pretty damn cool.
My favorite illusion is by Italan master magician Ahim with a trick known as The Matrix. Dont believe me? Watch for yourself! http://youtu.be/mVCIUa_a_hk
ReplyDeleteHey Alan. That trick was awesome! I don't seem to have your email address. If you didn't want to post it, that's fine but please send me an email at watchorpass@gmail.com to let me know.
